Farmers offered opportunity to donate stock to support relief fund

In early March I caught up with PGG Wrightson’s East Coast clients and staff to look at some of the devastation left in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle.

While it’s fair to say that the resulting aftermath leaves a knot in the stomach, the spirit of individuals is amazing and the way communities and industry are pulling together in good old Kiwi ‘can do’ fashion is tremendous.

In saying that, it’s going to be a long journey. As an industry, we need to keep providing support in all the ways we know best. All our thoughts are with those suffering from this disaster. In addition, if you are motivated to support financially, please donate a sheep, a cattle beast or part thereof through auction or private sale, and PGG Wrightson will pass the full amount on to the relief fund: talk to your agent to arrange this.
